Fluorescent lamp (including straight tube fluorescent lamp, compact fluorescent, electromagnetic ballast & electronic ballast for fluorescent lamps) must be labelled energy and applied the lowest energy efficiency meeting with standard of Circular 07/2012/TT-BCT issued on 04 APRIL 2012.
Incandescent bulbs: not allowed to import to Vietnam
Halogen lamps or Led lamps: free energy labelling or free applying the lowest energy efficiency.
Energy Labelling is a must since 1st Jan 2020 regarding to Decision 04/2017/QĐ-TTg by the president of Vietnam Government issued on 9 MARCH 2017.

Step 1: test sample
Step 2: Completed documents
Step 3: Checking on application an Energy Labelling
Step 4: Accepted the Label of Energy
Step 5: Using the Label of Energy for products.
Documents requires including: 1 original & 5 copy of full set of documents. These documents must be sending to General Directorate of Energy at 54 Hai Bà Trưng Street, Hoàn Kiếm District, Hà Nội.

Within 20 working days, the General Directorate of Energy will check and release the result to applicator. Once it approved, the certificate will be released within 5 working day.
